😊 It was a peaceful and sunny day, and I was so lucky I had the whole day to enjoy it. I went to the sea and didn’t believe my eyes! The magic of the winter breath was there: the birth of the ice plates!
At first, they were just small specks in the water, but soon they grew and spread, drifting closer to the beach where I stood. Each of them was different, shining crystals sparkling at their edges, moving and turning in the slow waves, like sleeping dreams of the Winter Sea. ❄️
❣️ Helpful Hint – the video looks much better in 4K!
- On a PC, choose the “settings” icon (⚙️) at the lower right corner of the movie. Click and select the quality you want. On the phone, the “settings” icon is likely to be at the top right corner instead.
- If you do not see any icon, you may have to move the mouse/touch the screen for it to appear.
- If the movie “stutters” or halts, you may have to choose a lower quality.
- Sometimes – especially when using the app – Youtube may ignore your choice of quality because it thinks that “it knows best”. But if you persist, it will usually listen to you after a while. 😉

💝 Wishing you a beautiful and relaxing time, dear friends!

You created a beautiful piece of work for our mind and heart. Looking at the pieces of winter as it floats on the winter water is meditating. I was actually in Scandinavia in September visiting my sister who is a pianist living in Finland. I have not been back to Denmark in decades and would love to visit I hope soon. Keep up the good work.

Dear Mao, what a delightful surprise! Thank you so much, my friend! 🙂 I greatly value your opinion and support. 🙂 If you should happen to visit Denmark, please let me know – it would be great to meet you and be able to show you some of the beautiful and fascinating sights around Copenhagen. 🙂
Is your sister in Finland on CD, or on YouTube maybe? I have never been to Finland myself, but I hear it is a beautiful country! 🙂

Dear Roth, thank you so much for your wonderful words! Even though Global Warming tries to give us a little more heat, up here in the northern part of the world, it will be a long while yet before I’ll dare to go bathing in the sea! 🙂 Though the laughing, bathing women you hear in the middle of the video quite disagreed with that sentiment. 😀
All the best and take care, my friend 🙂

Yes, we have some in the US who take a dip in the icy lake water on New Years Day.
