“Mother.” The Holy Word.
May the Light of her Love be a shield from all evil. Envelope us, protect and guide us, in our life.
And may we, in turn, cherish and love Her, for all that She is and means for us.
When I was a little girl, my granny told me a story about a man who killed his mother in order to sell her heart. But on the way out the house, he stumbled over the doorstep and fell down. And his mother’s heart asked him worriedly, “Dear son, did you hurt yourself?”
At the time I thought it was a horrible story. How can one be so awful and treat his mother so badly?
But now, I think it is a most wonderful story because it tells about a love which has no bounds – that, of a mother for her child.
My mother will come visiting this summer! I really look forward to seeing her again 🙂 And I know how much she cherishes our garden, so this post is also for her. 😉 🙂 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day!
Traditions like this are important – not only for the emotional bonds they help us build and reaffirm, but also for the way they keep us civilized.
And the story was – touching.

Which probably means that all the days of your life are important … 😉 🙂 🙂
