Ther are lots of sayings like this. Basically, you are the whole, the self is the true home, that is: home is where the mind sits. When one travels we are in a different environment yet we can still feel comfortable even though we are only in this environment for a short time.

Though for me it is important that people around me are friendly and open. Otherwise I feel uncomfortable and not-at-home, even if I have been staying there for a longer period.
