It was a very quiet, peaceful day, with only the occasional, plaintive cry of a gull to accompany the endless waves. As I stood there, breathing it all in, my attention was captured by the lone gull on the black rock out there in the sea… So I named this “The Quiet World”. And I wove together small elements of traditional Ukrainian, Belarussian and Russian songs within the tapestry of my composition.

My husband is not only a skilled video engineer, but also possessed of an artistic soul as well. While working with me on the project, he suggested a slightly different version with a darker, more lonely “tone”.
